Hey kids, it's holiday season - you will note we did NOT start hassling you pre-Thanksgiving like some stores we could mention. But now that carols are playing, there's snow in Hawaii and Black Friday is a done deal, we figured you might want some alternative gift ideas for that hard to shop for person/people in your life. You can of course shop for our books at the usual suspects, Amazon, B&N, Powells, and etc., but there are some limited edition hard-covers still available JUST from us:
Stays Crunchy in Milk, by Adam P Knave -- one of 34 limited edition hardcovers, signed by the author and numbered. Holiday price $45 bucks including shipping US only, elsewhere add 5 bucks)!
Chimeric Machines, by Lucy A Snyder -- one of 50 limited edition hardcovers, signed by the author and numbered. Holiday price $30 bucks, including shipping (US only, elsewhere add 5 bucks)!
Brine, by Adrienne Jones -- one of 100 limited edition hardcovers, signed by the author and numbered. Holiday price $35 bucks, including shipping (again, only in the US - everywhere else, you get stiffed for 5 extra bucks).
Quantities are, as we say, limited -- really, in this case. By definition.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
We're having a contest for our newest child prodigy, Stays Crunchy in Milk -- the short form is, buy the book, take your picture with it, and you might win the ENTIRE Farscape Collection on DVD. Farscape? Stays Crunchy? Does this even make sense? Is there a connection (Legally, we must say there's no association, but you can decide if one of these things is not like the other)? Anyway, full details as well as where you have to post your picture is on the author's site, where you can read all about it. Follow the link to the contest - you know you want to.
BUT WAIT ONE MORE THING
Though it's not in hardcover it is our signature Christmas Classic around here - have you wondered why you haven't made a soft candlelit family reading of Ace Hawkins and the Wrath of Santa Claus part of your holiday tradition? We certainly have! (We'll let you work out whether 'we have' means 'have wondered' or have incorporated the book into our holiday traditions -- maaaaybe it's both!
The Black Glove is featuring an interview with Chris Conlon, regarding his new book (from, ahem, CGP) Starkweather Dreams. As an added bonus, at the end of the article is a review of the book, and a review of Chimeric Machines, by Lucy A Snyder (also from CGP and with a hardcover edition that's part of a great deal this month - check the article below...). As well, Chris is interviewed at Dark Scribe magazine - check out what he has to say there.
And remember, we strive to add links to all reviews our books receive - check them out - and if you've reviewed one of our books and you don't see it here, please let us know.
Stays Crunchy in Milk has hit the ground running, appearing in your favourite booksellers, Amazon, B&N, Powell's, and there's a shiny new interview on the website "Talking with Tim," wherein Mr Knave discusses the book, ideas, pop culture, and waxes eloquent and cracks wise.
News for August! Two great deals - first and foremost:
You still have a few days ot preorder Stays Crunchy in Milk, by Adam P Knave, and enter the contest for artwork from the books - either the trade edition (plus shipping) or the hardcover (at our shipping-included price) - last preorders accepted on August 5th.
For details on the book, see the preorder page. For details about the contest, and/or to read the first four chapters for FREE, see the author's page.
Deal #2 - For the month of August only, all orders of the signed, limited edition hardcover of Lucy A Snyder's new book, Chimeric Machines, will include a free copy of the Bram Stoker award-winning anthology Five Strokes to Midnight. This offer will run through August or until supplies are out (remember, only 50 copies of Chimeric Machines were printed, and there's less than half left). We feel it's only fair to disclose that the price for August has been bumped up a couple bucks to cover shipping of the additional book - if you're not interested in the bonus book, but still wish to order Chimeric Machines, please use our contact form and we'll arrange the lower price for you.
August is a great month for economic stimulus - do it! You know you want to!
